Due to some crappy circumstances that make me feel like dirt, I am in need of assistance. I’m reaching out to my tumblr friends to ask you to please share this post with the link to my online shop.

Code THANKYOU is good for 30% off anything in the shop and shipping is a flat rate of $4 no matter how many items you order.

I’ll also gladly accept custom orders or do my best to recreate some of the items you may have seen me post before.

I’m not posting any kind of sob story and I’m not asking for charity, just a helping hand spreading my link around in hopes of a couple of sales. I have a job aside from jewelry making, but due to circumstances outside my control I had to miss quite a few hours last week. A few sales in my shop this week would help me be able to pay my bills.

These are all fantastic. Except Laura Prepon, who looks like she fell off the cover of 1987 prom catalog.

"I um, I’m gonna read. This is something that our creator Chris Carter has written in something that I’m supposed to perform tomorrow and obviously I’m not prepared:
That what can be imagined can be achieved. That you must dare to dream, but there is no substitute for perseverance and hard work, and teamwork. Because no one gets there alone…and while we commemorate the greatness of these events and the individuals who achieve them, we cannot forget the sacrifice of those who make these achievements and leaps possible.
With that in mind there are a few people that I would like to thank. First and foremost, David Duchovny, my co-hort in crime, without you I wouldn’t be here. (At this point David, who presented her the award and is now standing to her left calls out “well I read your name [on the envelope]”. She laughs.) You amaze me.
Um Connie Frieberg, my manager, without who’s voice of reason, humanity, humility and comic relief I would not be standing here today. Michelle Stern, Peter Levine, Steve Glick my agents who have been busting their respective bal- butts, sorry- on my behalf (Gillian and audience laughs). And who uh, (more laughter), who gratefully comprehend that no means no.
Randy Stone, a friend and a genius in my eyes.. um, he cast the show. Um, and last but certainly not least our crew. We have been blessed with the most creative, hard working, ballsey- I said it twice (laughter) collection of human beings anyone could ever dream of having on their team. And uh, this is for all of you. Thank you.”
Gillian Anderson’s acceptance speech at the 1997 SAG Awards

This was a great speech… remember that time she forgot to thank David, though, that was priceless!

I just watched All Souls again and couldn’t believe my eyes.. is it really the key chain?

I’ve never noticed this before! How cute is that

Great catch! I can’t get a good screen cap on Hulu, but you can see the inscription on the back and a brief flash of the eagle right before she drops it.

Yes, I noticed that on my last watch through, too! Total fangirl flailing moment.

Robin Williams didn’t die from suicide. I only just heard the sad, sad news of Robin Williams’s death. My wife sent me a message to tell me he had died, and, when I asked her what he died from, she told me something that nobody in the news seems to be talking about.

When people die from cancer, their cause of death can be various horrible things – seizure, stroke, pneumonia – and when someone dies after battling cancer, and people ask “How did they die?”, you never hear anyone say “pulmonary embolism”, the answer is always “cancer”. A Pulmonary Embolism can be the final cause of death with some cancers, but when a friend of mine died from cancer, he died from cancer. That was it. And when I asked my wife what Robin Williams died from, she, very wisely, replied “Depression”.

The word “suicide” gives many people the impression that “it was his own decision,” or “he chose to die, whereas most people with cancer fight to live.” And, because Depression is still such a misunderstood condition, you can hardly blame people for not really understanding. Just a quick search on Twitter will show how many people have little sympathy for those who commit suicide…

But, just as a Pulmonary Embolism is a fatal symptom of cancer, suicide is a fatal symptom of Depression. Depression is an illness, not a choice of lifestyle. You can’t just “cheer up” with depression, just as you can’t choose not to have cancer. When someone commits suicide as a result of Depression, they die from Depression – an illness that kills millions each year. It is hard to know exactly how many people actually die from Depression each year because the figures and statistics only seem to show how many people die from “suicide” each year (and you don’t necessarily have to suffer Depression to commit suicide, it’s usually just implied). But considering that one person commits suicide every 14 minutes in the US alone, we clearly need to do more to battle this illness, and the stigmas that continue to surround it. Perhaps Depression might lose some its “it was his own fault” stigma, if we start focussing on the illness, rather than the symptom. Robin Williams didn’t die from suicide. He died from Depression*. It wasn’t his choice to suffer that.
